Life's little funnies!

Indoor soccer has been an exhilirating ride. It's very fast paced and the games are over before you know it. Balls are bouncing off the walls, boys are running everywhere, including bouncing off the walls. Their team has done well during this season. Last weekend during their second game Sean was playing hard and had scored two goals already. He runs down the field and the defensive player he's headed straight for moves out of his way. Well his coach didn't think he should do that and started yelling for the boy, "never back down" "stand your ground" "go for it, no matter what." After the coach finished his spill, the little boy looks at him and says,"did you see the size of him?"

When Evan gets in the shower, it's like his own personal stage, sometimes he sings and sometimes he has his own little commentary going on. Last night, Sean and I were sitting in the den and he was in our shower, we could hear him in there, we thought he was singing, but when we snuck up to the door to listen he was just talking about life and things and making silly statements about washing his body. We just sat there and laughed and laughed, he was just so content and happy. I love that chatter.

The boys had soccer practice yesterday afternoon. Being that I had to work and had to pick them up let them quick change in the car and take them straight to practice, Sean was having a hard time changing. He couldn't get his cleat on, so by this time we were at the park and I said to him to not get mad, just hop out and see if he could do it better standing up. A couple of mumblings later he says, "I've just had a long hard bad day and I'm tired!"
Of course the day got shorter and so much better when I told him we were going to eat with Lainey later.

Isn't it funny how life happens, little comments, little commentaries, confessions all part of it. All part of them growing up it's such a great ride.
